It is my pleasure to acomodate you on your special day! Here are some helpfull answers to most of your questions. If you have any other questions, or are ready to book a trial and/or save your date, feel free to contact me!
How do I reserve my event day services?
First, please contact me though email right away to make sure your date is currently available. In order to secure my services for your event, you must fill out and submit a contract along with a deposit. In case of client cancelations, deposits are non-refundable.
When should I book a trial?
It is recommended to book the trial once you have decided on the dress and accessories. For weddings, this includes the veil and jewels/accessories for the hair.
What happens at a trial appoinment ?
We would meet at my studio, and have a thorough consultation where you can explain your vision and concerns. Once I provide my professional opinion, I will proceed to create your one of a kind, customized desired look. At the end of our appointment, you will have a full vision of how beautiful you will look on your wedding day! Trials for hair and make-up are not necessary but highly recommended.
What are custom-made clip-on extensions?
Allison hand makes clip-on extensions, that help in creating length, thickness, and dimension to your own hair. They are made to blend with your hair color and layering. The extentions are 100% human hair, making them completaly safe to curl, flatiron, blow-dry, and wash.
What is a hair prep service?
Hair prep is a specialty service crafted for those who are looking for a fresh wash, blow-dry, and straightening, before and up-do or down-do.
What happens on the day of the event?
A month before the event, the stylist/makeup artist will contact you to get a final head count of the people who will be getting service. To assure that everything runs smoothly, we will produce a timed schedule for hair and makeup services for the day of the event. If each person will be paying independently, the cost for their service will also be stated in the schedule. The sheet will be placed in an envelope, where cash may be deposited for payment. If host is responsible for payment, the full amount will be collected the morning of the event. Cash is preferred.
What should I do to my skin and hair before my service?
For makeup, you can show up with a clean and moisturized face and I will do the rest. For blow-dries, please come with your hair freshly washed. For up-dos or down-dos, please wash your hair the night before and let it air dry. You may blow-dry your hair to assure that it is fully dry and freeze free before your appointment time. Never use a flat iron to straighten because the hair will not take a curl after.
We will be off schedule and there will be an extra charge in place if you arrive with wet hair before performing the original service requested.
